Guess Who Was Promoted to “Glee” Series Regular?

Warning: If you’re still trying to collect yourself from the goodness of Gwyneth last night, this might really put you over the edge. Glee fans have been asking for a while now whether a certain fan-favorite guest star will be promoted to series regular, and I just got the good news that he will! So who is it?

Reliable sources confirm that Harry Shum Jr.— also known as Mike Chang, also known as the hot “Other Asian” dancer with abs of steel—will become a series regular next season.

What this means is that yes, we’ll be getting more ridonkulously good dance numbers from Harry (the fans go wild!) but also, sorry Artie, but it looks like your romantic rival might be all smooshy-wooshy with your girl Tina a while longer. Like Heather Morris (Brittany) and Naya Rivera (Santana) before him, Harry started off in season one as a background player but has moved more into the forefront—scoring his first dancing duet last night with Matthew Morrison (Mr. Schue).

Anyone else pleased to see Harry sticking around? Hit the comments. (Source)

Sue Sylvester is Getting Married

Here comes the bride, all dressed in…racing stripes?

Glee’s Jane Lynch dished a little more on the top-secret, out-of-left-field wedding of Sue Sylvester, her acid-tongued coach character on the Fox smash.

“Sue is getting married and it is rather unconventional,” Lynch, 50, told UsMagazine.com Sunday at the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center’s 39th Anniversary Gala in Century City, Calif. “I’m not going to say who or what, or even what sex,” Lynch teased, “But it is just so freakin weird — you’re going to love it.”

And the hard-nosed leader of the Cheerios squad will get out of her iconic tracksuit for her walk down the aisle — sort of!

“The [wedding] dress is so awesome,” Lynch told Us. “It’s by Ali Rahimi,” her costume designer, who also made her Emmy and Golden Globes gowns. “He made a Sue Sylvester designer track suit wedding dress!”

In real life, Lynch had her own less wacky nuptials in June. She wed psychiatrist Dr. Lara Embry at a Massachusetts restaurant with an intimate party of just 21 guests. (Source)

“Glee” Rethinking Super Bowl Strategy

Glee is showing symptoms of tribute fatigue. Despite talk that the Fox hit’s post-Super Bowl episode would be a love letter to either Bruce Springsteen or Michael Jackson, we’re hearing producers are strongly reconsidering the single-singer route. Word is Ryan Murphy & Co. are leaning toward staging a “regular” episode of Glee after SB XLV featuring music from a variety of artists rather than a stunt-heavy hour, a-la Britney and Madonna.

Of course, given that Glee will likely draw its biggest audience in its two-year history, you can bet there will be at least a few bells and whistles. (Source)

“The Grinch” to Receive a “Glee” Makeover

When you hear someone described as being “cuddly as a cactus and as charming as an eel,” chances are, you think of the Grinch. And then you may well think, “OMG, that sounds just like Glee-clubber Sue Sylvester, too.”

At least the series’ creator, Ryan Murphy, seems to have thought so.

We’re hearing the Fox hit’s Christmas episode will be titled “Sue the Grinch” and will revolve around the coach’s attempts to sabotage the holidays at McKinley High. And yes, the Grinch’s iconic theme song will get a Sue-centric remake. (Source)

E! Online “Glee” Spoiler

E! Online has posted a small Glee spoiler. Take a look below on what fans can … or can’t expect this upcoming season! (Don’t read if you do not want to be spoiled)

Dennis: What’s the word on Puck and Rachel on Glee? I’m so tired of all the Finn and Rachel news. When are Puck and Rachel getting back together?
Sorry, but Ryan Murphy was totally serious when he said that there’s nothing in the works for Puck and Rachel anytime soon. My condolences to any and all Puckleberry lovers. Something tells me someone is getting some lovin’, though. Though Ryan wanted to keep the storyline as much of a secret as possible, my frenemy reveals that Chris Colfer and Darren Criss are singing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” lends further proof that eventually, they will be more than friends.
