Jenna Ushkowitz of “Glee” thought that having two veteran performers judging the contestants provides “Idol” with artistic credibility. “I think J.Lo and Steven Tyler will put in a lot of really, really good criticism because they’re performers,” she said. “I think it’ll be constructive, and I think it’ll be helpful.”

“I think you have to be true to the fact that here is a group of people who come and go in these teachers’ lives,” Murphy says in an interview with Australia’s Herald Sun newspaper. “They graduate and they’re gone.”

Murphy says he’s looking at the end of Season 3 in 2012 for at least some of the show’s characters — including, probably, Finn (Cory Monteith), Rachel (Lea Michele) and Quinn (Dianna Agron). “Every year we’re going to populate a new group,” he says in the interview. “There’s nothing more depressing than a high schooler with a bald spot.”

That means that, come Season 4 of the show, New Directions could have completely turned over its membership — which is what happens in any real high school, but can be a difficult thing to pull off on a TV series.

“In my head I’ve cast myself on Glee,” the 28-year-old Love and Other Drugs star said on Thursday’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. “I would want to play Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) long lost aunt, his mother’s sister, who is also gay, who comes back to help him deal with sexuality,” Anne revealed. “And I would sing ‘No One Is Alone’ from Stephen Sondheim’s epic show Into the Woods.”

Reliable sources confirm that Harry Shum Jr.— also known as Mike Chang, also known as the hot “Other Asian” dancer with abs of steel—will become a series regular next season.

What this means is that yes, we’ll be getting more ridonkulously good dance numbers from Harry (the fans go wild!) but also, sorry Artie, but it looks like your romantic rival might be all smooshy-wooshy with your girl Tina a while longer. Like Heather Morris (Brittany) and Naya Rivera (Santana) before him, Harry started off in season one as a background player but has moved more into the forefront—scoring his first dancing duet last night with Matthew Morrison (Mr. Schue).
