‘Glee’ Tina, Artie ‘go through trials’
Glee stars Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale have revealed that their characters Tina and Artie will face “trials and tribulations”.
The duo made up during the recent Madonna episode after Artie (Kevin McHale) apologised for his misogynistic behaviour towards Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz).
McHale has now revealed that the relationship will be explored more during the 19th episode, directed by Joss Whedon.
“I will say that the Tina and Artie thing does not go untalked about,” he joked to Zap2it. “Stuff definitely gets talked about, and Neil Patrick Harris is in it, so it’s a big, fun, jam-packed episode.”
Meanwhile, Ushkowitz said: “They get to live out their relationship now. So you’ll see some really nice things from them, I think.”
She explained that the relationship will not be difficult but revealed that Tina and Artie will have to cope with problems in their individual lives.
“They definitely go through some hard times,” she said. “I think Tina essentially just wants Artie to be happy. And I know he’s going through a hard time with his disabilities so you’ll see some trials and tribulations, but nothing that will make or break them at this point.”
Glee continues Tuesdays at 9pm on Fox in the US and Mondays at 9pm on E4 in the UK.
